A growing UK-based online fashion retailer, operating across 13 brands and five distribution centers, partnered with Ligentia to transform and modernize its global supply chain. Managing over 230,000 SKUs and processing more than 50,000 purchase orders annually, the retailer needed greater visibility, control, and agility to navigate the complexity of its international network and meet rising customer expectations. 

The Challenge

Despite the retailer’s rapid growth and global scale, supply chain processes remained fragmented and heavily dependent on spreadsheets and manual communication. Without a central platform to unify supply chain visibility, teams exchanged over 600,000 emails annually just to coordinate inbound shipments. This manual approach led to delays, inefficiencies, and limited transparency across the supply chain. The absence of real-time data on order status, inventory levels, and delivery performance made it difficult to proactively manage supply chain risks, optimize inventory, or scale operations in line with customer demand. 

Our Solution

In 2022, we deployed our cloud-based supply chain platform Ligentix, across the retailer’s global network. Designed to simplify complex international supply chains, Ligentix provides end-to-end visibility, control, and collaboration through four core modules:

Beyond technology, Ligentia’s dedicated supply chain experts worked closely with the retailer’s teams and suppliers to embed new processes, drive adoption, and build confidence in the new platform.  

Within just eight weeks, we ensured a smooth transition, improved supplier collaboration, replaced time-consuming manual reporting with automated, self-serve analytics, and empowered internal teams with the tools and insights needed to proactively manage their supply chain at scale.

Email volume dropped by 98%, and internal support requests were cut by more than 50%, freeing teams to focus on strategic, customer-facing activities rather than chasing updates. 

Bespoke reporting is now fully automated and shared daily across all brands, ensuring that merchandisers, planners, and leadership have consistent, actionable insights at their fingertips. 

As the partnership has grown, our role has expanded to include full oversight of the retailer’s external logistics providers delivering true end-to-end supply chain management.
