London, England – 19 June, 2023 Ligentia, a leading global supply chain solutions provider, has announced the opening of new offices in Hamburg and Rotterdam. This marks the next stage in Ligentia’s expansion in Europe, and supports our ongoing strategy to invest in developing our geographic presence and enhanced customer proposition.
Claudia Braack has been appointed General Manager of Germany. With over 25 years of experience in transport and logistics, Claudia’s most recent role was Head of Imports for Leschaco, and previously also worked for Rohlig in various roles lasting 20 years.
Of her appointment, Ms Braack says: “Joining Ligentia is an exciting opportunity to work from the ground up to establish operations in Germany. I’m thrilled to be taking up this challenge and looking forward to meeting Ligentia’s German-based customers and finding ways to better serve them”.
Claudia Braack left, and Patrick de Ruiter right.
Patrick de Ruiter has taken up the post of General Manager of Benelux and will be based in Rotterdam where the office has been established for this region. Patrick previously worked for 6 years at Rohlig Logistics, most recently as Rotterdam Branch Manager.
Mr de Ruiter remarked, ‘The Benelux region offers Ligentia significant growth opportunities with both existing customers as well as new. I’m excited to be taking up this position and exploring ways to enhance our operations and service offerings to better meet the demands of Ligentia’s customers.”
Kenneth Werther, Managing Director, EMEA, says: “Ligentia has a track record of going where our customers need us, so establishing teams in Hamburg and Rotterdam was a natural next step for us as we focus on delivering ever better solutions for customers. I’m particularly excited about the opportunity this expansion brings for our European road offering, allowing us greater connections in these strategic locations in Europe. I’m thrilled to have two fantastic leaders on board in Claudia and Patrick.”
Established in 1996, Ligentia has evolved from a small UK-based team to an organisation with over 1,300 people and a global footprint, with offices across the UK, Europe, Australia, Asia and North America, as well as our Global Technology Hub in Leeds, UK.
