Driving the industry to positive change
At Ligentia, we combine people and technology to drive innovation. We're also focused on becoming a more environmentally and socially responsible company, helping our customers and our industry do the same. We’re innovative supply chain problem solvers, dedicated to making our customers more successful, and through our collaborations with customers and industry partners, our aim is to foster sustainable growth.
As our global population grows, so does the demand for products and services. Today’s societal challenge is how to meet these needs in a way that is more sustainable, efficient, and harmonised with the needs and expectations of customers, regulators, and consumers.
Sustainability is an urgent priority within our sector. Our industry must address the critical challenges around the environmental and social impact of supply chains.
To address these issues and reach our ESG goals, we’re integrating ethical business practices throughout our internal operations and driving positive change by working with suppliers and customers to develop more sustainable supply chains.
We're committed to enhancing the reliability and accuracy of our data measurements consolidated across our global operations. Our efforts are reflected in the publishing of our first annual Sustainability Report for 2023, marking the beginning of our transparent reporting journey. This report underscores our dedication to continuous improvement, demonstrating year-on-year improvement.
Aligned with our reporting focus, we are dedicated to monitoring and reducing our operation emissions, as well as those of our suppliers, through collaborative goals. We aim to reduce our emissions by 7% annually and outline our strategy in an updated carbon reduction plan for 2025.
Across our organisation, we strive to foster inclusive teams, ensuring every employee is engaged in our global collaboration. As part of our strategy to enhance our employee experience, we conducted our first Great Place to Work Survey in 2024 and earned Great Place to Work Certification. Based on the survey results, we have developed an action plan to address the priorities identified by our employees in each region.
As part of our commitment to building a sustainable future, we support the United Nations Global Compact and the UN blueprint for global peace and prosperity, benefiting people and the planet, now and in the future. Following the Key Performance Indicators of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we have identified a primary set of goals where we can make the most impact, as well as a secondary group where our influence is more incremental.
Joining the United Nation’s Global Compact
To validate our actions and sustainability reporting, we have joined the United Nations Global Compact. With support from our CEO and across the board, we have committed to following the framework of responsibilities across the four areas: human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. This pledge sets the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact as an integral part of our strategy to establish a culture of integrity and responsibility for a sustainable future.
Taking responsibility for our carbon footprint
In 2024, we started the journey to Planet Mark Business Certification. An internationally recognised sustainability certification, Planet Mark helps businesses annually measure, report and reduce carbon emissions, paving the way to net zero.
SDGs 8, 12, 16 and 17 are crucial to promoting sustainable economic growth, responsible consumption, strong industry standards, and partnerships with our customers and suppliers to drive industry change. By aligning our operations to the KPIs of these areas, we can ensure that our operations contribute meaningfully to these global priorities. We aim to benchmark our progress, and report our progression towards the UN’s targets.
In our secondary group of SDGs, we recognise that our industry operations have less of an influence towards the UN’s KPIs. However, we believe that our contributions are still significant to developing the broader effort towards a sustainable future. Our dedication to these goals – SDGs 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11 and 15 – reflects our ambition that every action collectively drives meaningful change.
