London, England – 4 July, 2023 Ligentia, a leading global supply chain solutions provider, is expanding its platform by opening offices in two locations in India, it was announced today. Ligentia will operate in two strategic locations from July 1, 2023 – Mumbai, which will serve as the regional head office as well as a second location in Tuticorin. From these offices, with centralised operations and processes, Ligentia will service all major sea and air ports across India.
Ligentia’s plans to manage its own operations in the Indian subcontinent extend beyond India. In February this year, Ligentia and CF Global, a leading logistics provider in Bangladesh, agreed to establish Ligentia liaison offices in Dhaka and Chittagong and hired 10 staff to better support customers exporting from Bangladesh.
Jan Skovgaard, Ligentia COO remarked on the expansion in the Indian subcontinent region: “This is a very exciting step for Ligentia as we create a truly global supply chain management provider, brought on by shifts in sourcing trends and the drive towards more sustainable supply chains. We’ve noted in the last couple of years a significant increase in customer volumes coming from the Indian subcontinent region and felt strongly that it was time for Ligentia to take accountability for service levels in the region to ensure that we are in the best position possible to support new and existing customer growth.”
