Ligentia joins the 5% club

London, England, June 25, 2024 – Ligentia, a leading global supply chain management company, has joined the 5% Club, meaning we pledge to have graduates and apprentices make up 5% of our workforce.

Founded in 2013, the 5% Club represents more than 700 organisations across the UK, all committed to providing ‘earn and learn’ opportunities for their workforce.

The 5% Club works with UK employers and key influencers to inspire, educate and retain a growing body of people into ‘earn and learn’ placements in order to increase the number of apprentices, sponsored students and graduate trainees.

Each year, participant organisations agree to undergo an audit which provides employers the opportunity to become and ‘accredited member’ as well as get access to exclusive and invaluable benchmarking data to help HR and recruitment functions refine their ‘learn and earn’ programmes.

Established in 2019, Ligentia UK’s Advance programme each year offers apprentices and graduates opportunities across a number of disciplines including freight forwarding and technology.  We have 8 current learners in the programme, with plans to onboard 5 more apprentices and 4 more graduates before the end of 2024.

Monica Stefanescu, Global People Director, says, “At Ligentia, we are dedicated to fostering the growth and development of our team members, both present and future. In joining The 5% Club, we are fully aligned with their mission to enhance the employment and career prospects of today’s workforce while equipping the UK with the skilled professionals it needs. We believe that investing in graduates and apprentices is essential for Ligentia’s growth as well as building a robust and capable workforce for the future.”
