Out of gauge (OOG) cargo

Out of gauge (OOG) cargo is cargo whose dimensions exceed the internal measurements of a standard shipping container. It is usually shipped on flat rack or open top containers, or as break bulk. Examples include machinery, vehicles and large aircraft parts. OOG cargo often needs specialist equipment, route surveys and permits.

Why it matters for your supply chain: OOG shipments need early planning. Lashing, handling and permit requirements affect cost and transit time.
